How Pioneers Power won 3 African energy projects

To gain a better understanding of the role exhibitions play in a company’s marketing strategy, I spoke with Jamal Alkaf from Pioneers Power who exhibited at Power and Electricity World Africa. He helped answer these key questions

1. How did you hear about Power and Electricity World Africa?

Power and Electricity World Africa is a well know event and we considered at the beginning to attend as delegates, however with more thought and the decision of our board of directors we decided to sponsor/exhibit the event to have a wider coverage and entry to Africa, and to benefit from the Conference.

2. What goals did your company set prior to the event?

Our goals; get a wider coverage, enter a new growing power market, understand the needs and demands in power industry currently undergone in Africa, look for potential opportunities and projects in Africa and our main goal is seizing one of these projects/opportunities.

3. How did the event help you achieve your goals?

We made a good coverage through the event and gained understanding of the African Power Industry. In addition, we won 3 African energy projects and we are currently studying few opportunities and hope for success for one or more of these projects/opportunities.

4. What were the top three outcomes of attending the event for your company as a whole?

· Gained good coverage in the African Power market/industry;

· Understood the growing power industry/market in Africa;

· Currently studying Potential Opportunities In Africa for Pioneers Power to take part in these potential opportunities/projects, if appropriate and feasible.

5. Would you sponsor the event again?

We hope to sponsor the event again in the future.
